Power Breach

To set up the Power Breach, a 3’ by 16” cutout is made in a wall between the studs and the device is screwed to the studs.

Here we have reinforced the area surrounding the Power Breach unit with plywood to avoid damage to other parts of the wall.

The Power Breach frame is raised and a piece of 1/2” or 5/8” thick sheetrock is slid into place.

The top plate is closed and the steel frame pins hold the sheetrock in place as if it were nailed to the wall. Two thumbscrews secure the outer frame.

Members can then break through the opening without destroying the rest of the wall to simulate a breach rescue.

After each training session the frame is lifted up and the debris is removed. A new piece of sheetrock is easily inserted to “reload” the device. Six such sheets can be cut from one piece of 4x8 sheetrock of desired thickness.

For realism, we have used a 120lb dummy dressed in firefighters gear as the victim.

By using this training device, your members can perfect their skills during an urgent breach rescue with practicle "hands-on" training.
